Andrew has experience working in a diverse range of settings including schools, universities counselling services, prisons, trauma centres, refugee and asylum seeker services as well as private practice. Andrew has worked across a range of cultural settings including Aotearoa New Zealand, China and New Zealand and specialises in working with LGBTQIA+ people. 

 

Andrew works with individuals and couples over the age of 18 and is experienced in working with a broad range of difficulties including:

  • Stress, anxiety and depression,

  • Concentration and focus difficulties including ADHD,

  • Procrastination and loss of motivation,

  • Identity, gender and sexuality,

  • Body image issues,

  • Relationships and family issues,

  • Addiction and substance abuse,

  • Trauma, violence, loss and grief,

  • Chronic or sudden illness,

  • Managing work or study,

  • Achieving personal or professional goals

​Andrew has been providing evidence-based counselling therapy for over 25 years. He is trained in Cognitive-Behaviour Therapies and Counselling Psychotherapy. He predominately utilises Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Learn more about ACT here.
