Kaya

I am honoured to live and work in Boorloo (Perth) on Whadjuk country, the lands of the Noongar people. I pay my respect to Noongar elders, past, present, and emerging.

I acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of Australia, that they never ceded sovereignty and remain strong in their enduring connection to their lands and culture.

I acknowledge the value and importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories, traditions, knowledge, psychology and way of life.

I acknowledge the negative impact of historic and ongoing colonising activities on first nations people in Australia and around the world including experiences of racial microaggression, prejudice, discrimination, and violence.

I am committed to listening, learning and adjusting my behaviour as I value and respect indigenous people, knowledge, traditions and ways of life
